VALENTINE’S DAY is just around the corner- have you got anything planned for your significant other yet?

As we are still in lockdown, we can’t take our loved ones out for a fancy meal as we did the year before- your favourite eatery may even be closed .

However, many top restaurants are still providing a delivery or takeout service.

Review and travel company, Tripadvisor, has a site section dedicated to the ‘most romantic’ restaurants in your local area.

Here are just five East Lancashire restaurants from those lists that have a fantastic Valentine’s Weekend menu:

Tiggis Ribble Valley, Clayton-le-Dale

(Facebook/ @Tiggis.restaurant)

According to Tripadvisor, this restaurant is one of the top 10 most romantic restaurants in Blackburn.

It’s also the ideal place to go if you are in the mood for some delicious Valentine’s Day food.

Pre-orders can be placed from now until Valentine’s Day and the menu is available from 12-14th February.

A three course meal will cost £17.95 per person- and there are some delicious looking items to choose from.

To start, how about a deep fried camembert with cranberry sauce? And for mains it has to be seafood past or maybe a classic Italian lasagne.

This is the second ‘most romantic’ restaurant in Burnley, according to Tripadvisor.

Clearly, it’s a popular place with locals too as the set menu slots have all been taken up.

However, you can still enjoy their exclusive Valentine’s weekend afternoon tea which is sure to impress your loved one.

This is £15 per person and includes a selection of sandwiches, savouries and desserts.

However, this isn’t your average afternoon tea and the selection is much more luxurious.

Smoked salmon with cream cheese and cucumber is one sandwich option while the stick BBQ sausage roll is on the savouries list.

Save room for pudding as chocolate brownie and chocolate dipped strawberries are just two options.

To place an order, call 078755602613 or visit their Facebook page.

However, be quick as your orders must be placed by Wednesday the 10th February.
