A MAN charged with harassing Rossendale and Darwen MP Jake Berry has appeared in court.
Michael Glendenning, 55, is accused of threatening violence against the Conservative MP, who has represented his constituency since 2010.
It is alleged that Glendinning left voicemails for Mr Berry with threats that he would harm him.
Glendenning has been ordered not to go with 100ft of the MP’s office at Cheadle House, Rawtenstall, or make contact with the former Northern Powerhouse minister.
Glendenning, of Edgemoor Close, Shawforth, Rossendale, has denied harassment putting someone in fear of violence. The case was adjourned until April 7.
