A BURNLEY fitness boss has raised £331.69 for Pendleside Hospice.
Paul Stannard, CEO of Lean Training Club in Dunnockshaw, Burnley, asked members of his gym to make donations to the hospice in lieu of paying for bottles of water or coffees.
He also set up a Just Giving page that members could donate to if they wished.
Paul has also agreed that the gym will become one of the hospice’s Charity of the Year Partners.
He said: “My uncle was cared for recently at Pendleside and I heard about the dedicated care they were able to offer and that the patients are allowed visitors during these difficult times even though it is restricted to just a few.
“But I knew it was the best place for him to be and that the care is excellent”
He added: “I am delighted that this amount was raised from just water and coffee donations, I think the members were extra generous as they know it’s a charity close to my heart.”
