BLACKBURN with Darwen Council has imposed a series of new 'no waiting' restrictions on several of its roads.

They have been authorised by its highways boss Cllr Phil Riley.

An amended order has been imposed on Crow Trees Lane in Entwistle.

A 'no waiting' order has been brought in at the junction of Dorritt Street and Dickens Street in Blackburn.

A 'no waiting/no loading' restriction has been imposed on Buncer Lane, Blackburn, near Witton Park High School.

A loading and unloading ban has been introduced on both sides of East Park Road in Blackburn near to its junction with Preston New Road.

A 'no waiting' restriction from Monday to Saturday between 8am an 6pm has been imposed on Hutton Street, Blackburn, to ease problems with lorries accessing a business premises caused by vehicles parking outside their gates.

Duxbury Street in Darwen is now subject to a no waiting at any time restriction on both sides of the road.

Because of obstruction by parked vehicles at school drop off and collection times, on Preston New Road near Corporation Park, a new loading and unloading restriction has been brought in between Montague Street and Shear Bank Road on both sides from Monday to Saturday from 7am to 7pm.

To tackle complaints of obstruction by parked vehicles on the roundabout outside St Stephen’s Primary School at school drop off and pick up times double kerb blips have been added on Robinson Street, Blackburn, preventing all vehicles from parking.
