A further 642 new coronavirus infections have been recorded in East Lancashire in the last 24 hours.
Figures released on the Government's coronavirus dashboard on Friday afternoon show that since the pandemic began last March, a total of 44,174 positive tests have now been registered across this region of the county.
Blackburn with Darwen recorded the biggest jump in infections, with a further 165 people testing positive since Thursday, meaning the total number of people to have contracted the virus since March 2020 is now 14,070.
Further increases were also seen in Burnley and Pendle, where figures now stand at 8,030 and 7,781 respectively, after another 132 and 126 positive tests were recorded in the last 24 hours.
In Hyndburn, another 113 positive tests were recorded, taking the total number in the borough since the pandemic began to 5,961.
Rossendale and the Ribble Valley recorded the lowest number of positive tests in the last 24 hours, with increases of 47 and 59 respectively.
Rossendale's positive infection tally now stands at 4,826, with the Ribble Valley having recorded 3,506 positive tests since March 2020.
A total of 44,174 positive coronavirus tests have now been registered in East Lancashire in the last 10 months.
