500 cannabis plants found at old bingo hall
A CANNABIS factory with almost 500 plants was found in Accrington.
Neighbourhood officers from Hyndburn Police found the operation at the old Empire Bingo Hall on Blackburn Road on Friday.
The electricity had been by passed and the set up was contained in several areas of the building.
Officers are continuing with enquiries to trace the individuals responsible.
PS Ian Corbett of the Hyndburn Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Hyndburn Neighbourhood Policing Team officers have thwarted several large scale cultivations in recent days and we aim to build on this success in the coming weeks”.
