ONE of Blackburn’s most prominent accountancy firms, PM+M, has appointed a new director to take charge of its wealth management team.

Locally born James McIntyre will take charge of providing PM+M’s strategic financial planning and wealth management services to a range of private individuals, businesses, and business owners.

This will see him working closely with and supporting company partner Antony Keen with his ambitious plans to grow the wealth management arm of the firm whilst ensuring that it continues to provide financial planning advice and investments proposition to its current and future clients.

Mr McIntyre said: “I was born in Blackburn, so I have a real affiliation with the town, the Ribble Valley and the whole of Lancashire.

“Over the years, PM+M has become part of the very fabric of the area so it feels like the right fit for me.

“The company also shares my high standards and has a great ethos which is focused on helping clients achieve more.

“I am excited to be starting this new journey and having the ability to help shape the future of the wealth management function alongside Antony.”

Mr McIntyre joins PM+M, based in Greenbank Technology Park on Challenge Way, from Mattioli Woods, previously known as Taylor Patterson, where he was a senior consultant, while he has previously worked at RSM Tenon and Nationwide Building Society.

This appointment comes after a series of ambitious moves by the firm that has seen taking on new staff members and unveiling new partnerships despite the challenges that the coronavirus pandemic has posed to businesses all over the country, particularly in East Lancashire, which has been hit particularly hard by the virus.

Anthony Keen said: “James has some fantastic experience and real determination to succeed so we are delighted that he is now part of our team.

“I am confident that he will add value and will bring some fresh insights and ideas that will benefit his colleagues and clients.”
