RESIDENTS of a borough feeling lonely or worried because of the new lockdown are being urged to get in touch with its local help service.
The Ribble Valley Community Hub has contacted around 1,800 extremely clinically vulnerable people in recent weeks and will be contacting others over the coming days.
It provides staff to listen to residents concerns who can make referrals for help with such as shopping and prescription collections, and offer advice on a wide range of services.
Ribble Valley Council leader Cllr Stephen Atkinson said: “Our officers have been running the borough’s community hub throughout the pandemic and have helped thousands of residents.
“They have access to a wide range of knowledge and information, and been able to match hundreds of households with vital support.
People can contact the hub Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm on 01200 414597.
