A COUNCILLOR has asked that proposals to turn a stable block into a house should be considered by a borough's planning committee.
Ms K Smith has applied to Hyndburn Council for permission to turn the building at Baird Moore Stud Farm on Plantation Road, Accrington, into a new home.
Her agent Steven Hartley tells planners: "The proposal is to convert the vacant, single storey stable block to one dwelling.
"This would not be a newly built dwelling but a conversion.
"The premises include alternative stabling facing the application site and also a portal frame building to the side.
"The building is no longer used or required for stabling. The other stables and the portal frame building would remain in their current use."
Barnfield ward's Cllr June Harrison has asked council officials to refer the scheme to Hyndburn Council's planning committee for debate.
