VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help distribute the new Oxford and AstraZeneca vaccine.
Lancashire Volunteer Partnership (LVP) is working with the NHS to support their Covid-19 local vaccination programme across Lancashire and South Cumbria, with volunteer roles starting in January 2021.
A spokesperson for LVP said: "We are currently recruiting volunteers as local NHS Marshalls who will volunteer for four-hour time slots at various venues across Lancashire and South Cumbria, seven days a week."
This news comes as the new vaccine has been deployed to six hospital trusts in England, with University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, which operates Royal Lancaster Infirmary getting some of the first doses of the vaccine.
