The A59 roundabout
UPDATED: One lane on the A59 eastbound is now open and the M6 southbound exit slip is now fully open.
A FALLEN tree has closed part of the A59 near Samlesbury this morning (December 18).
The road has been closed from the roundabout at the junction with the M6 to the Five Barred Gate Service Station on the A677 and traffic officers and road police are on the scene.
Earlier this morning on Twitter, Highways North West said: "The A59 eastbound for Blackburn and Clitheroe is currently closed from the roundabout at the junction with the M6 J31 by Traffic Officers and Lancs Road Police are currently at the scene."
A spokesperson for the police has said that the road will re-open soon and no casualties have been reported.
