DEVOTED mother, wife and grandmother Sheila Davies will be laid to next week after peacefully passing away at the age of 75.
She was best known in her community as a regular face at the Broadway in Accrington and the Royal Oak in Clayton-le-Moors where she could be found catching up with friends who knew her as a warm and selfless person who would do anything for anyone.
Having worked at Clayton Laundry, English Electric and Broadley’s, Mrs Davies, known to friends as She, spent her free time developing her love of travel, with Malta a particularly favoured destination for her and husband Tony.
However, Mrs Davies’ greatest love was her family and along with Tony she leaves daughters Kim and Sharon, brother Jimmy, her grandchildren Charlie and Jodie and great-grandson Oscar.
