A HIGH school has told parents it will not be able to carry on full-time education due to a number of staff testing positive for coronavirus.
Bosses at SS John Fisher and Thomas More Roman Catholic High School in Colne have written to parents this morning.
A school spokesman said: "Due to a number of staff testing positive and staff being identified as close contacts, we are NOT able to continue full time education for all pupils from TOMORROW.
"School will close early today (December 8) at 2pm.
"Pupils who walk, cycle or travel on the mainline buses will be free to leave from this time.
"All other pupils will remain in school until parents/carers are able to collect them as normal or the school bus service arrives.
"We will be running a rota system for remaining staff and pupils to attend school from tomorrow until the Christmas break.
"This rota will be published through School Synergy, the school website and the school Facebook page by 4pm today."
