HOSPITALS are recruiting vaccine distributors to help in the release of the highly anticipated Covid-19 vaccination.

East Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust are looking for health care professionals and vaccine administration support to ensure they are prepared to distribute the vaccine across East Lancashire.

There are also positions available in Central Lancashire, Fylde Coast, North Lancashire to help distribute the vaccine across the rest of the county.

Registered nurses, midwives or registered healthcare care professionals to work at band 5 and 6 level and trained peer vaccinators, as well as other registered health professionals are being sought to be trained in administering the vaccine.

There are opportunities for experienced health care assistants and trained first aiders to receive full immunisation training to deliver the vaccine under clinical supervision.

Registered GPs will be supporting practices to deliver vaccines in their local hubs and care homes.

The trust are also looking for people who can help with a variety of administration work to ensure the smooth running of the vaccine centres.

We need people to work in a variety of locations across to vaccinate eligible groups of people.

Employment will be on a flexible basis with the opportunity to work a variety of different shift lengths and patterns.

Vaccine centres will operate from 8am-8pm, 7 days per week and in all roles, appropriate training, supervision and PPE will be provided to ensure the safety of staff, volunteers and patients.
