Fire crews battled for the best part of an hour to extinguish flames after a double-decker bus set on fire on a busy main road.
At around 8.35am, two fire engines were called to Bay Gateway in Lancaster after receiving reports that the bus was 'well alight' in the middle of the carriageway.
Luckily there were no passengers on board and the driver on the bus was not injured.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "At 8.35am on Tuesday, two fire engines from Lancaster attended a vehicle fire on East Bay Gateway, Slyne.
"The fire involved a double decker bus which was well alight on arrival.
"Crews used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus to fight the fire and were at the scene for 60 minutes."
