A halal baby food company has donated 50,000 baby food meals to FareShare.
'For Aisha' produces a range of halal recipes which are also dairy-free and gluten-free.
The company said, "In the current climate, it’s become clearer than ever how important it is to help those around us. We believe in giving back to our community and to those who are most in need.
"We are proud to have donated over 50,000 For Aisha baby food pouches and toddler tray meals to FareShare."
FareShare is the UK’s largest food redistribution charity and provides enough food to create almost a million meals for vulnerable people every week and support almost 11,000 charities and community groups.
The company added, "Recently we were given the opportunity to work with the Myriad foundation, donating a large number of our pouches and tray meals.
"They are a Manchester based foundation that work extremely hard to help the community through various initiatives designed to help those in need. They have established soup kitchens, food banks, community centres and individually support residents in hospices and care homes.
"Over the past few years, we have supported other charitable organisations at home in the UK and also overseas, such as; Heart Research UK, Lincs2Nepal, and The Serendipity Foundation of Sri Lanka.
"We are extremely grateful to these wonderful organisations who selflessly help others in these times of need."
