Burnley’s current main bus station has been commended nationally for its architectural merits, but back in 1950 this was the bus station - on the site of the town’s old cattle market.
The imposing building behind was the headquarters of the Burnley Building Society in Grimshaw Street and you can make out the dome of the Savoy Cinema behind it.
