TWO more Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded in East Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.

In total, East Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, which operates Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley General Teaching Hospital has recorded 443 Covid-19 related deaths.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has seen three deaths recorded today and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has recorded a further four Covid-19 related deaths.

Today, 498 deaths have been recorded in the United Kingdom, with 81 of the deaths occurring in North West hospitals.

In Blackburn with Darwen, 22 more people tested positive for the virus today, taking the district's total to 9,379 cases.

Burnley has now recorded a total of 4,457 with 45 new cases today while Hyndburn has seen 29 more cases taking the total number of cases to 3,700.

Pendle has seen a further 38 cases in the last 24 hours, taking its total number of cases to 4,597,

Ribble Valley now has a total of 1,970 cases since the start of March after 24 tested positive today.

Rossendale has seen the highest increase in cases, having now recorded 3,166 positive tests since the start of the pandemic with a further 69 positive tests, being recorded today.
