THE Ribble Valley is to be included under the toughest tier for coronavirus restrictions, the Government has announced.
The countryside borough, which has the lowest infection rate in East Lancashire, has been placed under tier 3.
This is despite leaders arguing that the area should not be placed under the same bracket as places such as Blackburn and Hyndburn, where rates are much higher.

The Government’s postcode tier checker went down shortly after the Lancashire Telegraph found out the Ribble Valley had been placed under Tier 3 restrictions, but it is expected that the whole of the country will face the same fate.
