DJ Jordan North is not only keeping viewers entertained during his stint on I'm A Celeb, he has managed to unknowingly raise £20,000 for two charities.

Burnley FC’S ‘Happy Place’ T-shirts have netted more than £20k for Pendleside Hospice and Burnley FC Community Foodbank.

They are available from Burnley FC's online store for £20 each with the money being split between the two charities.

The club created the shirts after the Radio 1 presenter took part in a bushtucker trial in which he repeated the phrase ‘Happy Place’, to visualise his beloved Turf Moor, rather than the task in hand.

Burnley FC said: “We have been astounded by the massive show of support for celebrity fan Jordan North on his stint in the I’m a Celebrity castle, with supporters snapping up the ‘Happy Place, Happy Place, Turf Moor’ t-shirts from the Claret store.

“Thanks to that generosity and your support, Jordan has now raised over £20,000 for Pendleside Hospice and the Burnley FC in the community Foodbank, without even knowing!”

The club have had a massive response to the T-shirts as the original batch was sold out within hours of going on sale.

Jordan North is a loyal fan of the football club as he has even taken his Burnley FC scarf to the castle as his only luxury item.

A spokesperson from Pendleside Hospice said: “We feel fantastic, it’s really kind of Burnley Football Club to facilitate the making and selling of the t-shirts, we are very thankful to them.

“And obviously we are very thankful to Jordan, our ambassador, for unknowingly contributing towards this fundraising whilst in the castle.

“We are especially chuffed after this year being so difficult fundraising wise. And it’s seemed to have cheered everyone up a little bit and given everyone something else to talk about.

“We are definitely rooting for him to win.”

The Burnley lad has now become bookmakers' favourite to win after being a hit with viewers of the much-loved show.

Earlier this week, the 30-year-old won the castle coin challenge, which caused much discussion both in camp and with viewers of the show, as he and fellow camp mate, West End star Ruthie Henshall, chose to bring back scotch eggs over chocolate mini eggs.
