BURNLEY lad Jordan North was voted by the public to be camp leader on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! – as bookies now have him as favourite to win the hit TV show

The Radio 1 presenter started the series by vomiting at the top of a cliff after having to confront his fear of height by abseiling down it.

But the Burnley FC supporter has gone from strength to strength throughout the week, as he completed numerous bushtucker trials and faced many fears.

During Lorraine on ITV1 this morning William Hanson, his friend and co-presenter of podcast Help I sexted my Boss!, said: “He is going to be a totally different person when he comes out.”

Jordan has been a TV highlight as he completed his trials, going from frightened to confident within a number of days as he received a full house of 12 stars to earn food for camp.

The 30-year-old managed to get through his first trial thanks to advice from his paratrooper brother to find his ‘happy place’ which for Jordan is Burnley FC's Turf Moor.

Hanson went on to say: “He’s incredibly loyal to his hometown and to his football club.”

This was evident when Jordan received his luxury item — a Burnley FC scarf.

Unbeknown to Jordan, he has raised thousands for a local hospice in Burnley which cared for his uncle.

After North’s catchphrase ‘happy place’ became a hit with viewers Burnley FC created T-shirts with the phrase to raise money for Pendleside Hospice, which North is ambassador for, and also for the community foodbank.

“When he comes out and discovers what has happened... I think he'll be slightly tearful at it, in a good way,” said Hanson, who is incredibly proud of his friend and the fears he has overcome.

Last night he received the news that he was to be camp leader after being voted by the public, which seemed to take him by surprise. Despite appreciating the role and that the public voted for him, he seemed to struggle not being able to help his fellow camp mates with chores.

After last night’s show Jordan is favourite to win as Ladbrokes slashed his odds from 6/5 to 4/5 making him favourite to be the first king of the castle.
