ANYONE growing up in or living in East Lancashire will be aware of the area's connections to the cotton industry.
But how many people have ever been inside a working cotton mill?
The majority of these massive buildings have closed and been demolished but these photos from the archives give a glimpse of what life was like. The interesting thing to note is that all these are post war pictures and very represent some living history of the area.
