TRAINER lovers will have another opportunity to get their hands on the limited edition Nightsafe shoes as they go up for auction for a second time.

One year on from their release, the shoes were selling online for thousands of pounds, but Iamdeadstock.com and Nightsafe have teamed up and launched an auction to let some lucky trainer fans get their hands on a pair.

One year ago, SPZL fans queued for three days to get their hands on a pair of the limited edition shoes but not everyone was lucky enough to get some first time round.

Proceeds from the initial launch day were given to Nightsafe and Darwen designer Mr Aspden was soon made the charity's first ambassador, and has since reached the final 10 of the Brave Britons awards for his charity shoe design.

The homeless charity Nightsafe's logo was featured on 160 pairs of the Adidas Blackburn Spezial trainers, with bids for some of the limited edition pairs reaching more than £55,000 on eBay.

Nightsafe charity CEO Jan Larkin said: "We are very grateful to I AM DEADSTOCK for their support. The donation of the proceeds will help Nightsafe continue the work we do in supporting young homeless people, enabling us to make a real difference in their lives. Not only does the donation raise much needed funds but it also raises awareness of the needs of young homeless people."

The auction is already live, with bids already in excess of £400 and will run until 8pm on 22 November with all of the money made from the auction will go to the Blackburn charity.

The charity was set up in 1990 and helps homeless and vulnerable people aged 16 to 24 within the borough of Blackburn with Darwen and surrounding areas.
