A NURSERY school in Accrington has closed for 12 days after a teacher has tested positive for Covid-19.
Lee Royd Nursery School, which teaches and cares for children aged two to four, have sent a message out to parents on their website and social media.
The statement said: "Unfortunately due to a member of staff testing positive for COVID -19 we are going to have to close Lee Royd Nursery School from Friday 13th November and we will reopen on Wednesday 25th November.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused however we are following Government guidance. The staff are putting work and activities for the children to complete at home on their google classroom pages.
"Thank you for your continued support in these unprecedented times, we will keep you updated with any changes and we will follow procedures outlined by the Government to keep our staff, children and their families safe."
The school have also asked that should any members of a pupils household test positive that they should contact the headteacher immediately.
