COUNCILLORS have agreed plans to extend a dormer room and add an outbuilding to a bungalow on the outskirts of a town.
Burnley Council's Development Control committee approved the application for the property on the corner of Micklehurst Crescent and Oakeneaves Avenue in Habergham.
A neighbour objected on the grounds that the proposal would result in loss of privacy to his garden area and adversely impact the character of the area.
A previous application for a larger extension had been refused by planners.
A report from council officers to the committee said: "The revised design, whilst still having an impact on the overall design and appearance of the rear aspect of the property and the adjoining property, is considered to be an improvement to the previous design and on balance can now be supported."
