Police were called to the river where a body was found this morning
A BODY has been found in a river in Clayton-le-Moors.
Police were called this morning to reports of a body in the river near the bottom of Lower Barnes Street.
The death is being treated as unexplained as enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson said: "We were called at around 9.45am today (Saturday, November 7th) to reports a body had been found in the river close to Lower Barnes Street, Clayton-le-Moors.
"The circumstances of the death are currently being treated as unexplained and our enquiries are very much ongoing."
