FRIENDS of a man who is evading police capture are being warned they may face prosecution unless they turn him in.
Police are appealing for any information that could lead to the arrest of Jason Mayers, a man who is currently wanted on suspicion of several offences and a recall to prison.
He has links in the Accrington and Haslingden areas as well as possible links to Merseyside.
A police spokesman said: “Mayers is believed to be staying with associates who are assisting him in actively avoiding police.
“If you have any information on where he may be or who he may be in contact with please contact the police on 101 quoting LC-20201027-0123 or email PC CRITCHLEY at 5152@lancashire.police.uk directly.
“Consideration will be given to prosecute any persons found to be assisting Mayers evade the police.”
