A MAN has been released under investigation by police after being found with class A drugs and a knife in a Barnoldswick park.

On Friday, officers in Barnoldswick detained a male in Victory park who was found in possession of numerous wraps of class A along with a knife.

The 20-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of drug supply and possession of a bladed article, with further enquiries finding further class A drugs and items 'linked to the supply of drugs'.

He has since been released under investigation while the police conduct further enquiries and refer this case to the Crown prosecution.

In a Facebook post, Colne and West Craven Police said: "This weekend officers from the taskforce have been in and around the Barnoldswick area due to numerous reports of drug dealing, drug use and anti social behaviour.
