BOLTON Whites Hotel said it was delighted with the success of its event streaming Bolton Wanderers' first home win of the season.

Wanderers' next home game against Mansfield on Tuesday will now be streamed in the Pure Bar to get fans as close to the action as possible.

The hotel has a limited capacity but is inviting fans to watch the game via a stream in the bar while they are still not allowed in the adjoining stadium itself.

Clubs around the country have trialled similar events with matches still being played behind closed doors due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Over 80 were there to witness Bolton take away a hard-earned win against Bradford on Tuesday, which the hotel said was a great success.

A spokesman for the hotel said: “It was great to see that many people there cheering on the Whites to our first win.

“It was a very successful event and we were delighted with the amount of people who attended.

“We’re very much looking forward to welcoming fans back again on Tuesday for the next game," the spokesman said.

“We are hopeful that if this continues to be a success we will be able to roll this out for every game.

“A massive thank-you from us at Bolton Whites Hotel for your continued support,” he added.

Fans are encouraged to book quickly due to the limited space. Call 01204 673610 with a credit card required to confirm your table.

Supporters will have to buy food from a three-course set menu which is priced at £25 per person, with season ticket holders entitled to 20 per cent off.

There is only one household per table permitted, with a maximum number of six being able to attend per household.

Doors will open from 5.15pm to watch the game.
