AN alliance has been set up between four universities in Lancashire and South Cumbria to help tackle health and economic inequalities, which will now be headed by Lancashire Enterprise Partnership chair Steve Fogg.
The SEED Alliance will be made up of University of Central Lancashire, Edge Hill University, Lancaster University and the University of Cumbria working with the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System.
Together they will try to address how social and economic inequalities impact on health and how local bodies can try to address this.
Mr Fogg said: “I can see huge potential for collaborating across sectors to improve the health and wellbeing of our population."
