THE net is drawing in on two men wanted in connection with a serious assault and affray after one of them was arrested.

Ben Cronshaw, 23, from Rishton was detained this morning, Sunday, in connection with a serious incident in a pub beer garden.

David Osbaldeston, 27, also from Rishton, remains outstanding after the incident, which took place on Sunday, October 4th at the Royal Oak Public House on Sparth Road.

During an altercation in the beer garden, a number of glasses were thrown with a group of men making off from the scene. As the group left the pub, a rock was thrown at a member of staff, causing a serious head injury.

Osbaldeston is also wanted in connection with an aggravated burglary on Saturday, October 3rd on Essex Street, Accrington.

DS Steve Munro from Blackburn Police said: “Our hunt for David Osbaldeston is very much on-going and we will not stop until we find him or he hands himself in.

“I urge Osbaldeston to do the right thing and attend the nearest police station as it’s only a matter of time until he is found.

“If we find that anyone has been harbouring him or helping him to evade the police, they will also be dealt with for their involvement.

“If you have seen or know where Osbaldeston is, please get in touch. I would like to remind the public not to approach him, but to call the police instead.

“Lastly, I would like to thank the public for their response and support in helping us find Cronshaw who we arrested this morning.”

Call 999 if you see Osbaldeston.
