FIVE men and a woman who were arrested after a "violent disturbance" broke out have been released on bail.
Police, including armed officers and a force helicopter, rushed to Blair Lane in Breightmet on Saturday night after reports of a "violence disturbance" shortly before 10pm.
A dispersal notice was issued and police searched properties and made arrests at several locations, including Aldercroft Avenue and New Lane.
A BB gun and a number of suspected Class A drugs were recovered from the area.
Four men, aged 17, 18, 29 and 30, and a 25-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
Two men were taken hospital for treatment, including one who was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault, a 34-year-old man.
The other man in hospital is aged 31.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that all six people who were arrested have been bailed pending further enquiries.
On Sunday, a passer-by told The Bolton News: "There was a lot of police officers and vehicles with forensic officers showing interest in a vehicle in Aldercroft Avenue.
"A cordon was in place from a patch of land to the end of Aldercroft Avenue.
"When I saw it there were no people around just police."
Breightmet councillor Adele Warren expressed her "concern" about the incident.
Cllr Warren added: "It’s been a time of concern and worry for the community.
"An incident like this is shocking.
"It is important we come together as a community and become stronger moving forward."
