Three students in QEGS Sixth Form have been helping to support the Blackburn Foodbank
Ali Chaudhri (pictured), Hira Karimi and Amaan Sharif have all been doing their bit to encourage their fellow students to donate essential items in recent weeks, to the good cause.
The Year 13 students are taking part in a year-long project to increase the volume of donations that the centre receives and they called upon everyone within the Sixth Form to donate items such as food, cleaning supplies and essential products, such as nappies and face masks.
These items have been delivered to Blackburn Foodbank ahead of the half term break, which is often a time of great need for local families.
The trio will now begin the next phase of their project, which will aim to work with local supermarkets in labelling products that are in high demand at the foodbank, in order to encourage more people to donate.
