A MAN reacted violently when he was turned away by his mum and his ex-partner.

Blackburn magistrates heard that during each of the separate incidents Craig Thomas Lloyd damaged property after being told he wasn't welcome.

Lloyd, 29, of Bridge Street, Darwen, pleaded guilty to damaging a car belonging to Suzanne Farnhill and a window belonging to Together Housing. He was made subject to a community order for six months with 15 days rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £40 and ordered to pay £100 compensation for the window.

Janice Vallance, prosecuting, said the defendant's ex-partner was in her kitchen on April 15 when he appeared in her back garden. When she refused to let him in he became angry and started pulling at the kitchen window.

"She was frightened and ran from the house, calling the police," said Miss Vallance. "When she looked back he was stood in her front doorway."

The incident at his mother's house was on June 3 when he turned up in drink. His mother refused to let him in and he was banging on the door and shouting.

When police arrived they said Lloyd and he had an injury to his hand which was swollen and bleeding.

"They noticed the rear window of a car parked nearby had been smashed," she said.

Graeme Parkinson, defending, said Lloyd normally had a good relationship with his mum except when he had been drinking.

"On this occasion he had been drinking and his mum made it clear he wasn't welcome," said Mr Parkinson.

"He accepts he became angry and lashed out. He apologises for his conduct, especially to the lady next door whose car he damaged. He says he has always got on well with her in the past and he has already paid for the damage to her vehicle."
