THERE have been 651 new coronavirus cases in Blackburn with Darwen in the past week according to figures.
Blackburn with Darwen Council posted on their social media pages about being in the 'very high' Covid alert level.
The new statistics for between October 10 and 16 showed that Bastwell and Daisyfield, Audley and Queen's Park and Shear Brow and Corporation Park were the wards with the most cases.

The current infection rate per 100k is 437.1.
The total number of cases was 3,925 while the main age-group of new cases was 16-29.
There have also been 111 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
