A SUSPECTED stolen car was seized last night, Wednesday, after it was found with false registration plates.
Police stopped the vehicle on Ashness Drive in Breightmet.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Officers from the Breightmet Neighbourhood Team have just seized this vehicle on Ashness Drive.
"The vehicle was found to be displaying false registration plates.
"It has been seized on the suspicion that it is a stolen vehicle."
In a separate incident, a BMW 118 was stopped on Canning Street in Crompton by officers, who said it was being driven at speed and there was a strong smell of cannabis coming from the car.
An arrest was subsequently made on suspicion of drug driving.
