Burnley-based photographer Lee Mansfield who has recently been submitting a series of lunar photographs to the Lancashire Telegraph has now captured this incredible image of the Peel Monument and Winter Hill Transmitter at night over looking Ramsbottom.

This is the latest in a series of amazing images taken by Mr Mansfield, which have previously included shots of Darwen Tower and Stoodley Pike in the moonlight.

The Peel Monument, also known as Holcombe Tower, commemorates former prime minister Sir Robert Peel and was opened in 1852.

It is only the most recent Lancashire landmark to be captured by Mr Mansfield with many more to come, the photographer says.
