The fire occcured on Allerton Drive, Burnley.
A CAR FIRE on a road in Burnley required firefighters yesterday evening to make the scene safe again.
Firefighters arrived on the scene on Allerton Drive at around 7pm yesterday to find the car already well alight.
They extinguished the fire using a breathing apparatus and hose reel and remained in attendance for around 30 minutes.
Fortunately there are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
