The speeding driver was detected along the A59.
A DRIVER was detected speeding at 93 miles per hour in a 60 miles per hour zone along the A59, police have reported today.
The motorist was detected by police officers from the Lancashire Road Safety team along a stretch of the road in the Ribble Valley.
This comes as part of a series of checks launched by police after complaints about speeding from residents.
A police spokesperson said: "The driver of that vehicle has been invited to the magistrates court to explain their excess speed."
