A DRIVER who was captured travelling at 103mph in foggy conditions will appear in court.
Officers from the road policing unit were out on patrol on Monday night when they were alerted to the driver reaching speeds of more than 100mph on the M61.
The driver, who was carrying passengers in the car, was pulled over.
A spokesman said: “Patchy fog on the network this evening. This driver still taking unnecessary risks to their passengers and other road users travelling at ridiculous speeds. Stopped and reported to go to court for excess speed of 102mph #T3TacOps #fatal5 #slowdown”
