The proposed plan to build 165 homes in the Sunny Bower area of Blackburn needs to be thought about.

The main road which will serve these houses, Whalley Old Road, comes straight down and runs through Little Harwood.

The road is dangerous and a nightmare to cross with cars parked on both sides and heavy goods vehicles delivering to local shops.

The road has a few blind spots and cars have to take extra care when coming out of side streets. The speed camera hasn’t worked for years. There is a very bad accident waiting to happen.

With more new homes will come more cars. There is one school in Little Harwood. and a not very big health centre that serves also Sunny Bower.

Also the local wildlife habitat will suffer including the deer that live in that area.

There is far too much house building going on in Blackburn. Eventually we will be lucky to see a green field anywhere.

What happened to looking after the planet?

Please give much thought to these plans and no I am not a Sunny Bower resident.
