POLICE have discovered a cannabis farm in Burnley, the second such discovery in East Lancashire this week.
The discovery was made by officers from Burnley East Neighbourhood Team in the Burnley Wood area while on patrol on the afternoon of Saturday September 19.
Drug dealers use such cultivations to grow the illegal drug before it is sold on the streets.
A police spokesperson said: "No pleas for the horticulturalist to come forward this time, we know who the gardener is!"
This comes only a day after another cannabis cultivation was found in Hydburn, with over 120 plants growing that would have amounted to a street value of over £60,000, however police have not suggested that the cases are linked.
Anyone with any concerns about drugs and crime related activity in the area can email 2498@lancashire.police.uk or contact independent charity crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
