WELCOME to pub of the week.

Each week we showcase a local in the area.

This week it's The Butler's Arms in Pleasington.

Have you been?

If you have let us know what you think in the comments below and if you'd like to feature your local as Pub of the Week then email simone.okane@newsquest.co.uk for the Q and A, cheers!

Name of the pub: The Butler's Arms

Address of the pub: Victoria Rd, Pleasington, BB2 5JH

Landlord: Michael Hales and Zoe Monk is the general manager.

Bar staff: We have fifteen front of house staff, too many to name individually. You’ll probably see Zoe, Chelsey, Amy and Luke on your visits.

Explain the history of the pub: The Butlers Arms is a very special pub and restaurant run by award winning chef Michael Ian Hales and General Manager Zoe Monk in the quiet village of Pleasington near Blackburn

The pub has a quiet country pub feel which is loved by locals and visitors alike. Outside, there is a beautiful Terrace and a beer garden over the bowling green with high wooden trusses and selected foliage.
We currently operate thorough COVID secure systems and are certified as Safe To Trade.

Is food served? If yes what’s on the menu? There’s something for everyone at The Butlers Arms. We do simple hearty food; freshly prepared pub classic dishes, great fish and meat dishes, delicious stone baked pizzas and a selection of tapas style dishes. Children have their own menu of favourites and are always welcome.

Is there a beer garden? Yes.

Most popular drink served is: Our very own IMAGINe Lancashire Dry Gin.

Most memorable moment for the pub was: Opening day of our award winning terrace.

Have you faced any challenges within the industry? Of course, the biggest being keeping the business afloat during the COVID crisis. We’ve adapted to work within the new guidelines and the hard work of all our staff has seen us bounce back.

The best thing about running a pub is…

The people... Customers new and old, seeing staff develop and grow, seeing the local suppliers thrive.

The worst thing about running a pub is… Early starts after late nights.

Perfect hangover cure is... Our famous Fish & Chips.
