SIX teenagers have been arrested following disorder where a teenager was punched in the face.
Officers were called to reports on an assault in Mercer Park, Clayton-le-Moors at around 7.35pm on Monday, September 14.
Upon arrival they discovered that a teenager had been punched in the face several times.
It has now been confirmed that six males have been arrested for a range of offences, including affray, assault and the taking of a motor vehicle without consent.
Insp Steve Rides, of Hyndburn Police, said: “We know this incident will have caused a great deal of concern for residents in the area and I would like to reassure that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated by Lancashire Police.
"Although a number of arrests have been made the investigation is very much ongoing and we are continuing to appeal for anyone with information or CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to come forwarded.
"Patrols were immediately increased in the area and they will continue.”
