COMMONS Speaker and MP for Chorley Sir Lindsay Hoyle has told of his anger over the issues people are facing booking coronavirus tests in Lancashire.

Taking to twitter this morning, the speaker said it is ‘unacceptable’ that his constituents cannot book a test.

On Twitter he said: “I am receiving numerous complaints from residents unable to book a test after displaying Covid symptoms.

“This is completely unacceptable and totally undermines track and trace so I have raised my concerns with Ministers to push for action to be taken as a matter of urgency.”

The testing system came under scrutiny last week, with Health Secretary Matt Hancock blaming people booking tests without symptoms on the struggles.
