People in Hyndburn have been queuing for two hours today (September 14) to get a coronavirus test at the new walk-in test centre.
The new centre at Mercer Hall in Great Harwood has been hit today with people around Hyndburn looking to get a test after booking online has become difficult.
The testing centre used to be based at Accrington Town Hall however on Friday it was announced this would be closed to make way for the Mercer Hall site.
In a tweet, Hyndburn Borough Council said: “Due to a huge response current wait time is approximately 2 hours at our Community Test Site.
“The team are working exceptionally hard to meet demand and we would like to thank everyone for being patient, following all Covid-safety guidelines and keeping their distance from people not in their household.”
