A £10,000 fixed penalty notice was handed out to the organiser of a Lancashire party for breaching coronavirus restructions.
Lancashire Police posted on their Facebook page about a busy weekend across the county trying to catch people breaching regulations.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "One of these reports came in at around 7.20pm last night (Saturday) and when officers followed it up they found a party taking place at an address in the Dowbridge area of Kirkham, with around 45 people present in a marquee and a live band playing.
"As a result a £10,000 fixed penalty notice was issued to the organiser.
"We would just like to reiterate that we are still in the middle of a pandemic and the rules are there to stop the spread of the virus and to keep everybody safe. We want things to go back to normal just as much as you.
"Though our approach has always been to engage with people to explain the rules, and we don’t take enforcement action lightly, we will issue fines for non-compliance where necessary."
