IT was the first event of its kind in the UK — a socially-distanced festival set within the idyllic Ribble Valley.

Gisburne Park Pop-up, held throughout July and August, was hailed such a success that an extension has been announced.

An eclectic line up of headline DJs and legendary rockers will take to the stage from Friday.

Before the coronavirus lockdown in March, Gisburne Park Estate in Gisburn operated as a prestigious wedding and corporate events venue.

But now, once the sun goes down, Gisburne Park Pop-up transforms into an open-air party with some of the biggest names in dance music set to headline the weekly ‘Party in the Park’ experience.

Lancashire Telegraph:

The line-up includes Patrick Topping and Yousef on Saturday, Solardo Saturday, September 19 and Sam Divine, Shapeshifters and Jess Bays on Saturday, September 26.

On Sunday afternoons, a stellar line up of live bands will perform at the festival, including legendary rocker Steve Harley, who was the frontman of the 70s group Cockney Rebel and Fleetwood Bac, who are regarded as the UK’s most authentic Fleetwood Mac tribute band.

With something for all ages, Gisburne Park Pop-Up’s popular Family Show will take place every Saturday afternoon. An interactive day time event designed for the whole family to enjoy together with a Disney Sing-along complete with actors and entertainment to an afternoon of opera.

With all major UK festivals and events cancelled this summer, the Gisburne Park Pop-Up is reimagining the outdoor entertainment experience while observing the latest social distancing guidelines.

Guests can book their own individual hexagonal pitches, each large enough for a social bubble of six and spaced 2.6m apart.

Designated bar-to-pitch service brings food and single serve drinks directly to the customer eliminating the need to queue, whilst a one-way system ensures festival-goers can make their way around the 10-acre site with a minimum of 2m physical distance between other guests.

For guests wishing to stay the entire weekend, onsite luxury five-metre wide bell tents are available to book. Each comes with electricity, an outdoor fire pit and access to on-site private showers.

Guests can also choose to stay at the north of England’s leading hot tub holiday destination, Ribblesdale Park, which is also nestled within the Gisburne Park Estate and features luxury lodges and cosy cottages.
