A huge cannabis farm containing more than 700 plants has been discovered in a mill in Rossendale.
Just after lunchtime on Tuesday, an off duty police officer came across the set-up at the Isle of Man Mill on Burnley Road East.
Upon investigation it was discovered the cannabis farm, which was spread across two floors, contained more than 700 plants.
So far no arrests have been made but police have now launched and investigation and their enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for the police said: "An off-duty police officer has come across a cannabis set-up in a property in Burnley Road, East, at 12.50pm on Tuesday.
"It's a large-scale cannabis set-up with over 700 plants across two floors.
"No arrests have been made.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
