A MOTORIST in Longridge was arrested yesterday for possession of drugs and driving without a licence or insurance.
Police stopped the car as part of Operation Manta Ray, which aims to curtail speeding in the area.
The driver was originally stopped due to slight excess speed however, officers quickly discovered a raft of other offences after the driver failed a roadside drugs test and was also discovered to be in possession of drugs as well as driving without a licence or insurance.
The car has now been seized and the driver taken into custody.
